Distance training's contents and program structure are fully based on training program for regular training in Management Informatics area of the Faculty of Information Technology and Management, except that Physical Education and Defense Education lessons are removed.

• Foreign language: Self tutoring with tapes and materials available supported. Each semester has 2 or 3 days for extra help from teachers (about 16 to 20 learning periods) Also, students can take a course at local centers to prepare for an exam .

• Social Science and humanism: Self tutoring with Vietnam Broadcasting Station and guide materials supported. Each semester has 2 days for extra help (about 12 to 15 learning periods).

• Mathematics - Natural Science - Specialized subjects: Guide materials such as videotapes, floppy disks, lessons on VTV2...available for self - studying. Each semester has 4 or 5 days for extra help (about 15 to 30 learning periods). Students also have tests , practical exercises or a project to do before finishing their semester. 

• Practice: Hands on training is available at centers or in groups depending on students' condition. Academic calendar is informed annually to students before each semester. Time for extra help is arranged suitably with students' condition at the centers.

Faculty of Information Technology - Hanoi Open University, and CITM center offer 2 courses for highly qualified technicians training per year that will provide students with :

   - Basic knowledge of Information Technology.

   - Professional skills on hardware assembly, installing, developing, computer and computer networks administration. 

   - Fundamental shills on programming, being expert in using some application software.

   - Admission to enroll: 

              1. Students who are graduates from secondary schools, complementary educational school or vocational school. 

              2. Students who are studying at graduated from other colleges and junior colleges.

   - Training program: (2 semesters per year)

              First semesters: (5 months for studying and taking tests)

                          1. Introduction to information and informatics for Office

                          2. Computer Structure

                          3. Programming language Pascal 

                          4. Programming Practice  

                          5. Computer Maintenance 

              Second semesters: (5 month for studying and taking tests )

                           1. Database Structure and Algirithms

                           2. Database Management Program (Foxpro)

                           3. Informatics for Management - Excel

                           4. Autocad

                           5. Computer networks and Internet

               Taking final exam on computer with 3 objects:  
                           1.Informatics for Office

                           2. Foxpro

                           3. Computer Mantenance  

Successful candidates are accredited a graduated Informatics Technician Certificate by the Faculty of Information Technology - Hanoi Open University.

Students who are studying at college levels (Regular training, In-service training or Distance training) at the Faculty of Information Technology- Hanoi Open University at the same time are not require to take some credits from 1 to 10 .

LCCI EB provides tests in English language for self-taught people. They also focus on training human resource for the future. Training centers with studying programs and materials from LCCI EB are established everywhere throughout the world. These registered centers are not only training English but also other specializations such as Information Technology, Tourism, Accountancy, Bank, Secretarial Skill, Marketing. In recent years, Vietnam gas delegated VNPTGD to be a partner with LCCI EB to distribute training centers' activities under LCCI programs in Information Technology - Hanoi Open University called Center AVIT - CITM that is officially recognized.
